TikTok export guide

How to Compare Two TikTok Follower Exports

Use an older and a newer export from the same TikTok account. Compare complete follower and following lists by recorded username, with capture dates you supply. Added and missing usernames describe observations between those captures.

Choose two independent captures

  1. Open the newer export in the main source panel. In Compare snapshots, choose the older export or explicitly load a saved local baseline.
  2. Enter the dates represented by the older and newer captures. The tool does not infer capture dates from a filename, a download timestamp or the oldest recorded follow.
  3. Confirm that the captures belong to the same account and are in older/newer order. Compare relationship captures separates follower additions, follower absences, following additions and following absences.

Inspect the differences

The reader requires both complete supported relationship categories. Partial, missing and unsupported lists cannot establish a change. Unidentified rows stay outside matching and their count remains visible.

The rows retain original source follow dates. Those are not dates of an unfollow. Usernames can change, so a missing username and an added one cannot establish that one person removed you or identify their intention.

Keep a minimal baseline if useful

The optional Snapshot Vault stores validated relationship usernames and source dates with your label and capture date. Saving is explicit; messages, searches and watch history are excluded. A current working export alone is not automatically saved.

The Vault can download a private backup and preview a restore before writing. Matching IDs keep the existing local snapshot. Browser storage is not encrypted or synced, and clearing the working session does not delete saved snapshots.

Sources and responsibility

These instructions describe InstaScope's supported reader and current controls. TikTok determines the categories and history available in your download. Use its official help for the current request process; send corrections through About without attaching private exports.

TikTok's Data Portability documentation is a category reference. InstaScope does not use that API, and its supported download layouts are checked separately with synthetic fixtures.
