TikTok export guide

TikTok Export Privacy and Import Troubleshooting

InstaScope reads supported TikTok files locally, keeps the working export in tab memory and saves a minimal relationship snapshot only when you explicitly choose to do so. Review what stays in memory, what you save and what you share; use the dedicated troubleshooting guide for import errors.

About these guides and corrections · Updated

Separate memory, snapshots and downloads

The working export stays in this tab's memory until you clear, reload or close it. The optional Vault keeps only validated follower/following usernames and source dates, plus your label and capture date. Saved snapshots stay until you delete them or remove browser storage.

A CSV or backup is a file on your own device and can contain private records. Wrapped artwork contains aggregates. Native sharing and opening recorded profile or video links are separate actions you choose; archive processing itself does not fetch them.

Account access and product analytics

The analyzer does not request a TikTok password, cookie, token or account connection. Contact, payment, IP, location, login and device data are excluded from the normalized dataset. Exported text cannot execute scripts or load tracking pixels.

Ordinary page resources and the site's stated analytics are separate from archive processing. Product telemetry uses fixed operation categories and does not include archive names, record counts, usernames, messages, searches or source URLs. Read Privacy for current service details.

Different choices expose different information

Choose only the supported categories you want to inspect. Keep private CSVs and snapshot backups separate from the aggregate Wrapped images you intend to share. A working export is not saved automatically just because you visited a tool.

Opening a recorded profile or video link sends an ordinary visit to TikTok. The public profile-photo tool is a separate, explicit public lookup. Neither action is needed to parse your archive; a blocked public lookup does not stop local analysis.

Sources and responsibility

These instructions describe InstaScope's supported reader and current controls. TikTok determines the categories and history available in your download. Use its official help for the current request process; send corrections through About without attaching private exports.

TikTok's Data Portability documentation is a category reference. InstaScope does not use that API, and its supported download layouts are checked separately with synthetic fixtures.
