TikTok export guide

How to Find Your Exported TikTok Likes and Favorites

Your TikTok likes and favorites are separate exported lists. In Activity history, choose Liked videos or Favorite videos, then search the recorded text or link and filter the source dates. Matching video IDs can connect those lists with your exported watch records.

About these guides and corrections · Updated

Open the right list

  1. Include Like List and Favorite Videos in the TikTok download you choose. Import the ZIP, a supported JSON file or the original TXT files together, then check each category in Export coverage & diagnostics.
  2. Open Activity history and select the category you want. Search a recorded video link or text, choose a recorded year and inspect the matching rows before downloading a filtered CSV.
  3. To find watched videos that also appear in either list, open Watch history and choose Liked in export or Favorite in export under Match another exported list.

These invented records use the normal TikTok parser and analysis. They are independent of your active export and do not save data or change the workspace.

A record in both lists is still one video ID

The worked example contains overlapping liked and favorite video IDs. Each list keeps its own records. Adding the two record counts would count the overlap twice and would not give a unique-video total.

Matching uses a recognized TikTok video ID, not a guess from a title. A missing or unsupported link stays outside that match. Distinct video IDs and event records answer different questions, especially when an ID occurs more than once.

What an exported link can and cannot recover

Open recorded link is an explicit visit to TikTok. InstaScope does not download videos in bulk, fetch thumbnails or restore deleted, private or unavailable videos. A link in an export is not an offline video file.

These lists describe the download, not the current state of your likes or saved collections. An absent category is different from an included empty list; neither an export gap nor an unmatched video proves that you removed a like or favorite.

Sources and responsibility

These instructions describe InstaScope's supported reader and current controls. TikTok determines the categories and history available in your download. Use its official help for the current request process; send corrections through About without attaching private exports.

TikTok's Data Portability documentation is a category reference. InstaScope does not use that API, and its supported download layouts are checked separately with synthetic fixtures.
