How to Read and Search Your TikTok Search History Export
Choose an export containing Searches or Search History, open Activity history and select Search history. Search the recorded terms, filter a source year and review the exact rows before making a private CSV download. The analyzer never connects to your live searches.
Find an exported search
- Include search history when requesting your TikTok data. After import, check that the search category is available rather than missing, empty or unsupported.
- In Activity history, select Search history. Enter part of a recorded term in the search field and use the recorded-year and oldest/newest controls to narrow the rows.
- Choose Download filtered CSV only after reviewing the result. Search terms can be personal even when they look ordinary; the CSV is a private file on your device.
These invented records use the normal TikTok parser and analysis. They are independent of your active export and do not save data or change the workspace.

Count recorded queries without inventing interests
The example preserves repeated search events and calculates distinct terms from exact exported text. A repeated term contributes several events but only one exact term. Different spelling, case or spacing can remain different text; no topic or person is inferred.
Wrapped can show aggregate search-record and distinct-term counts without printing the terms themselves. Neither a count nor a timestamp explains why you searched, which result you opened or how TikTok used the activity in recommendations.
A download does not recreate cleared or missing history
InstaScope reads the rows TikTok supplied. It cannot restore searches that are absent from the file, undo a cleared history or guarantee every search you ever made. Check the selected download categories and the source file before treating an absent term as a meaningful result.
Usable UTC dates remain UTC and unzoned dates keep their source basis. A selected year excludes undated rows; All recorded years keeps them. Searches are not stored in the optional relationship Snapshot Vault.
Sources and responsibility
These instructions describe InstaScope's supported reader and current controls. TikTok determines the categories and history available in your download. Use its official help for the current request process; send corrections through About without attaching private exports.
TikTok's Data Portability documentation is a category reference. InstaScope does not use that API, and its supported download layouts are checked separately with synthetic fixtures.
