Facebook Profile and Page Photo Viewer

Look up a publicly delivered profile photo, or choose one from your device. Zoom, preview a circle and optionally upscale locally.

Only the username you enter is sent for lookup. Archive data is never involved.

Photos appear only when Facebook provides a public profile page. Login restrictions, unavailable accounts and rate limits can prevent retrieval.

Use a Facebook profile or Page reference

Enter a Facebook profile or Page link, a username, or a profile.php link with its numeric ID. A cover image, post thumbnail or unrelated page image is not accepted as the matching profile photo.

Fictional input examples

These illustrate the accepted input format; they are not fetched profiles or proof that a public photo is available.

Open and inspect the right image

  1. Copy the profile or Page address rather than a photo, group or share link. The numeric ID form belongs in the id parameter of a profile.php URL.
  2. Choose View public photo when lookup is available. Check the returned reference, then zoom or preview a circular frame. Save original photo saves the delivered profile image.
  3. If Facebook requires a login or does not deliver a matching photo, open the original profile yourself or use Choose photo from device. An export of friends does not contain those friends' profile pictures.

Device photos remain in this tab and are removed when you clear the preview or close it. Public lookups send only the profile reference to the separate photo service. Export files are never used for this lookup.

Photo viewer questions

Why is a cover photo not used as a fallback?

Facebook pages can expose several images. Accepting a cover or post image would show the wrong picture. The viewer requires a photo associated with the requested profile or Page and reports unavailable when it cannot verify one.

What if a public photo is unavailable?

A platform may restrict its public pages or stop delivering a photo. This does not prove that an account is private, deleted or blocking you. You can open the original profile or choose a photo you already have permission to use.

Does zoom recover the original HD photo?

Zoom changes the preview size. Optional AI upscaling estimates new pixels locally; it does not recover an authentic higher-resolution original. You can compare the result with the source and save either image.

Can this reveal private content?

Only publicly delivered photos and images you explicitly choose are supported. The viewer does not use account passwords, session cookies or hidden profile content.
