Review your Instagram privacy lists.
Review close friends, blocked accounts, restricted accounts and the accounts your story is hidden from. Everything stays in your browser.

Export help and limits
Include optional connection categories in the same ZIP or selection to explore requests, privacy lists and your unfollow history.
What to include for this task
- Connections and Wrapped
Followers and Following; All time
JSON or supported HTML in the original ZIP - Instagram conversations
Messages, including the conversation JSON parts
JSON ZIP; media only when physically included
Wait for the platform to finish preparing the download. Keep the original folder structure and choose the supported files together. A category that was not exported is unavailable, not empty.
Find four privacy lists in your Instagram export
Connection Privacy brings together Close friends, Blocked accounts, Restricted accounts and Story hidden from. Choose a category to search its recorded usernames, sort available dates or open a profile for your own review. These lists describe your settings in the supplied export, not someone else's choices about you.
A date is the value Instagram recorded for that entry. It does not establish how long a restriction or friendship has been continuously active. A fresh export may also differ from the settings you see in Instagram today.
Include privacy categories with Followers and Following
In Instagram Accounts Center, request your information with the All time range and include the privacy categories you want to review. JSON is recommended. Open the original ZIP above, or select the supported JSON or HTML lists together with Followers and Following. Keep the original filenames so each category can be identified.
Followers and Following alone do not contain these settings. A privacy category that is absent is marked Not included; an unreadable category is marked Could not read. Neither is treated as an empty list. The fictional example below shows why this distinction matters.
Keep the review private and make changes yourself
Your archive is processed in this browser, without an Instagram password. Reviewing a row does not block, unblock, restrict or change who can see your story. If you decide to change a setting, check it directly in Instagram.
Privacy-list usernames and counts are excluded from Wrapped cards. Saved relationship snapshots contain follower and following usernames, not copies of these privacy lists. Clear the active export or close the tab when you finish.

An empty list and a missing list mean different things
This invented export contains two Close friends records and a supported, empty Blocked accounts list. Restricted accounts and Story hidden from are not included. The same JSON parser used by the tool reads the two supplied lists.
| Category | Source coverage | Recorded accounts |
|---|---|---|
| Close friends | In this export | 2 |
| Blocked accounts | In this export | 0 |
| Restricted accounts | Not included | — |
| Story hidden from | Not included | — |
Zero is shown only for the supplied empty list. A dash means no count is available. No dates were supplied for the two Close friends records, so the tool leaves their dates unavailable. None of these private counts enter Wrapped.
A little more clarity.
Will this change my privacy settings?
No. These are lists recorded in your export. Open profiles to review them yourself. Missing categories are shown as unavailable, and private lists are excluded from Wrapped.
What happens to my data?
Your archive stays in this browser’s memory. Clear it or close the tab to remove it. If you choose to save a local snapshot, follower and following usernames remain in this browser until you delete them or clear site data. Public-photo searches, when enabled, send the entered username to our separate lookup service.
How do I get the right export?
Choose Followers and Following with the All time date range in Instagram’s Accounts Center. JSON is recommended. Include the relevant optional connection categories for requests, privacy lists and your own unfollow history. Read the export guide
