How to See Who Follows You but You Don't Follow Back on Instagram
Open the Fans category to find followers you do not follow back in your Instagram export. Compare both lists privately, without an Instagram password.
Use Fans for followers you do not follow back
Open your Instagram export in Followers Analyzer and select Fans to see accounts in Followers but absent from Following. These people appear to follow you in the supplied snapshot, while you do not appear to follow them. This is the reverse of Not Following Back, which lists accounts you follow that are absent from your Followers.
Followers means accounts following you. Following means accounts you follow. Mutuals appear in both lists. Fans is the product's name for Followers minus Following; it is a relationship category, not a claim about how interested someone is in you.
You can check the same result without an analyzer: take one username from Followers and search for it in Following. If it is absent from a complete Following list, it belongs in Followers minus Following. Do not reverse the two lists when checking this question.
Open both exported lists, then select the right category
Request Followers and Following from Instagram's Accounts Center with All time coverage when available. Open the ZIP in Followers Analyzer, or select all extracted followers parts together with the following file. Both lists are needed: Followers alone cannot establish which accounts you follow back.
After the overview appears, select the Fans category. Use Search accounts to check a username or browse the results. For example, if sample.cedar and sample.fern are followers but you follow only sample.fern, sample.cedar belongs in Fans and sample.fern is a mutual.
InstaScope normalizes usernames and removes duplicates before comparing the sets. A repeated record does not create an extra fan. A missing file is different from an explicitly empty Following list, and incomplete or date-limited coverage can change which accounts appear in the result.
Read the result as a snapshot, then review it yourself
The result describes the files you supplied, not live Instagram state. A relationship may have changed after the export was prepared, and a username change can affect matching. Check Instagram before deciding whether to follow someone; InstaScope does not follow accounts automatically.
The analysis runs locally in your browser without an Instagram password. Your archive is not sent to a server for comparison. Opening a real account's profile is a separate visit to Instagram that you choose to make.
FAQ: Why is this different from who doesn't follow me back?
Fans are incoming one-way relationships: they follow you, and you do not follow them. Not Following Back is outgoing: you follow them, and they are absent from your followers. Neither result proves an unfollow, shows profile visitors or tells you why the relationship is one-way.
